• Krescendo Music Academy is a professional online music school that offers fun, engaging, and high-quality virtual private lessons, as well as group and partner classes for children and adults. Our offerings include ALL instruments, as well as voice and music theory. All of our lessons and classes are taught by renowned and highly experienced teachers who are exceptionally skilled musicians with degrees and accolades from top musical institutions all over the world. Our main goal is to provide world-class, joyful, and affordable music instruction that is accessible to all.

  • Our private lessons are perfect for children aged 6-18, as well as adults. We welcome kids younger than 6 to all of our offerings, as long as a parent or guardian can be present during the lessons to offer additional help or if the children are mature for their age. We offer monthly private lesson package discounts for all students, as well as longer sessions for more advanced players.

Our partner classes are great for a pair of friends, classmates, or siblings close in age who would like to study the same instrument together, or are already playing an instrument at a similar level. Each student is encouraged to learn at their own home (or in a separate room, in the case of siblings) so that every participant can try things out in the privacy of their own space, while also having fun and enjoying the interaction with their partner and teacher. The partner class option is available for children and adults! Please reach out to us directly to schedule a partner class at info@krescendomusicacademy.com

Our small group classes contain no more than 3-4 participants and are organized according to different levels and age groups for a wide variety of instruments. Please fill out our contact us form to join the waitlist, reserve your spot, and be the first to be notified when a group class for your desired instrument starts enrolling. Group classes are available for both children and adults!

If you have any questions about our offerings or would like help with scheduling a session, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at info@krescendomusicacademy.com

  • We only hire teachers who are professional musicians, with degrees from top conservatories and music schools, who also have vast experience working with students of all ages in various settings. All of our teachers are selected for their warm personality, as well as their love and passion for music and pedagogy. This ensures that all of our lessons and classes are conducted with energy, joy, and compassionate care.

In addition, our music school utilizes a state-of-the-art, low-latency video platform for all of our offerings. This platform was specifically designed and engineered for online music education, guaranteeing the best possible quality in sound and video. The software offers numerous special features that make each session engaging and exciting, while also allowing private lessons to be video-recorded. Many students use these recordings as an invaluable resource while practicing on their own during the week. Likewise, many parents use the recordings to help their kids remember exactly what and how the teacher demonstrated new material.

  • We perform a thorough background check on all of our teachers and only use a secure video platform that guarantees student safety and data privacy. All parents have the option to request for their children’s private lessons to be recorded.

  • Our group classes cost $20 per participant, for a 30-minute class; while our partner classes cost $30 per participant, for a 30-minute class. Most of our group and partner classes run in short modules of 4 classes per booking, with payment plans available.

Our private lessons cost $40 for a 30-minute session, $60 for a 45-minute session, and $80 for an hour-long session. There are no long-term contracts or commitment requirements for private lesson bookings and monthly package discounts are available.

We accept all major credit cards and securely process all credit card payments through Stripe. We also accept ApplePay, GooglePay, and PayPal.

If you would like to give the gift of music lessons to a friend or loved one, please check out our gift vouchers for a single private lesson, as well as packages of multiple lessons. The gift vouchers can be found on our Schedule a Lesson page.

  • Every student will need a laptop, iPad or tablet to stream their lessons; a high-speed internet connection; their instrument; and a tripod or stand that can angle their device in the most helpful manner. Having TWO devices is ideal for voice lessons - the second device can be a smartphone or tablet.

Depending on your instrument, you may also benefit from having a music stand, pencil, eraser, and a notebook nearby for taking notes.

We have a blog post you can click to read here that outlines the best lesson set-up for any instrument you are planning on studying. Every teacher will specify all other books/materials a student will need to participate in their lesson or class, listed in the Materials Needed tab in the description of each offering, if applicable.

  • All group and partner classes are non-refundable. We offer two makeup lessons per year for missed private lessons. Please note that our booking system allows all students to change their private lesson day/time during weeks when they might have a scheduling conflict, so long as their instructor has other time slots available. Please contact your instructor directly with any other questions or concerns.

Our comprehensive school policy and all other terms and conditions can be viewed during the final stage of the booking process.

  • By offering music lessons online, we are able to bring world-class music education to students no matter where they are in the world - right in the comfort of their own home. We hire renowned musicians who have busy performing careers, which often hinders them from being able to work at a set physical location; by having the lessons online, we enable these first-rate musicians to share their expertise and passion for music with as many students as possible. We also have the advantage of having the entire nation and beyond of instructor applicants to choose from, versus being limited to choosing teachers from a small local radius, and that results in our school being able to hire the best talent possible.

Many of our students (and their parents!) have busy schedules with no time to drive to yet another after-school activity, or they may live far away from local music schools, and many simply don’t know where to look for quality music lessons and teachers they can trust. We save our students and their parents time, money, and an extra commute (and therefore solve all problems of accessibility) by offering exceptional-quality lessons virtually.

In addition, many students feel more at ease learning with a supportive teacher who is right there ready to help, but without the self-consciousness that can often come up when a teacher is right next to the student in the same room. Our students feel more comfortable making mistakes and trying new things in their own safety bubble at home, while still having the expert guidance and support of our teachers every step of the way.

  • Yes! Every teacher will host a virtual recital at the end of each school year, open to all students who would like to participate. Stay tuned for other exciting events, masterclass opportunities, and recitals coming up!

  • What kind of piano will I need to take piano lessons?

We recommend all piano students to have a full-size weighted keyboard, digital piano, or acoustic upright/grand piano. However, if you are just beginning your piano lessons, any keyboard of any size will work.

How do I know what level I am and which class I should sign up for?

Students of all ages and levels are welcome to sign up for private lessons. Please email us directly to schedule a partner class - this option works equally well for both children and adults. For group classes, please indicate your age (if under 18), level, and instrument when signing up for our waitlist. When a group class designed for a similar age/level starts enrolling, you will be the first to be notified and offered a spot. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at info@krescendomusicacademy.com. We are always happy to help!

Do I need a piano for music theory and ear-training classes?

Yes, a keyboard or piano is required for theory and ear-training lessons, however, any keyboard of any size will work.

Where can I purchase an instrument?

Local music stores are a great place to purchase or rent an instrument, but there are also many online options available that sell and offer instrument rentals that are affordable, educator-approved, and can be shipped nationwide. We recommend www.nemc.com and www.rentmyinstrument.com. If you would like further assistance while choosing your instrument, please contact us at info@krescendomusicacademy.com

Why do I need two devices for voice lessons?

Having two devices available for voice lessons is very helpful - one can be used for the video portion of the lesson and the other can be used to play backing tracks to sing with. However, if only one device is available, the teacher can adjust the lesson accordingly without any problems.

Do I have to sound like Adele or an opera singer to be able to take voice lessons?

Not at all! In fact, the more you sound like you, the better. Our goal is to make you sound like the best version of YOU. All you need is a desire to sing and learn!
